Leica making plastic lenses for Kiev? Strange idea.

But of course you can make a lens yourself. Take the inner tube of a toilet 
paper roll and tape a loupe on it, like this crazy swiss dude here:

Such a lens is definitely rivaling a Noctilux and you will never need a 
soft-focus filter again:

In Solms, they do it the same way, they just paint it black and all the 
rest about quality and craftsmanship is just marketing. So why loosing time 
and money with Leicas? Just add a cigarette paper box to your toilet roll 
lens, put a film plate in it and there we go!
