Subject: [Leica] Leica Loupe diopter adjustment discovery

I don't have a light-box and have always held my Leica loupe up to the
window to see inserted slides. Or up to the overhead light - not good
for the neck. I've always been bothered by the lack of diopter
adjustment, insufficient to correct for my -2.25 prescription eyesight.
Hence the need to wear specs while viewing.

Well, I just discovered that if one removes the slide and film strip
holder, to use the loupe in lightbox mode, there's heaps more diopter
adjustment available, probably enough for a -3 prescription. Certainly
enough for myopic me without glasses. Excellent. Now I do need a
light-box. Bewdy!
