Subject: [Leica] WANTED: Film back part for my R8. Sources?

John,

DO feel better soon. As you know, I'm in retail and there's no skin left on
my hands in winter from washing them so frequently. I can't afford to be
sick either. Men are generally horrible patients anyway. I'm the worst!

Dave explained to me that your lens ought to have been returned to the
repair department and that it is they who would have decided to replace
rather than adjust or repair it. The dealer needs to contact them with
details and insist that it be replaced from stock NOW.

Please let me know when Dave gets back to you. I've a soft spot for Dave
because he managed to get my first M7 replaced in about 45 minutes when it
displayed an obvious DX-coding defect. They really ARE helpful there to
people who are reasonable and polite. I was leaving on a trip the next day...

Best Wishes,

William
