Bob,
Joe L. is describing the t-mount lens system.  It has screw on adapters.
The T-4 system was a bayonet system that offered meter coupling connections
( similar to the Tamron Adaptall System).  It works only with lenses made to
accept the system mount.  Vivitar and Soligor used this system in the '70s.
