the R3A has a manually selected frameline, so your 40/2 will work fine with 
the
R3A

for CL and CLE users, Mr. K created the 40/1.4 with the same frameline cam  
as
the 40/2
so if you want a 40/1.4 for your CL or CLE. you now have that option

not to mention the Voigtlander 40 VF if you want shoot to any of the 40's on 
a M
series.
