Subject: [Leica] More signs of the Digital Age

So I go to my local camera store to buy some film.  This store has been in
business for a good 40 years, under the same family .   While there, I
inquire about scanning my rolls and placing them on a CD rather than cheapo
prints.  Fine. Low res scans for a roll are roughly $12 including film
processing.
(Then I get stupid.)
They also process and scan 6x6 120 film, but only Hi res scans.
(Now I get REALLY stupid.)
So what are the file sizes for a hi res scan? ( I ask the lovely lady at the
counter.)  She responds with the following....

30x40 Print size.

What the $%#$** was I told?  How can a person translate from print size to
file size?  What about the invented pixels, are they included?

I'm very confused........
