Subject: [Leica] Did someone here talk about removing the name-ring of a 50f2 R Summicron?

The chief impediment to removing the ring is the fact that it is tight 
against the front element. I find a sharp rap on the offending element, 
with suitable hammer, eliminates the problem and you can then unscrew 
the front ring by hand.
