I've never heard of a chrome 2nd version. I have a chrome 1st version. The
front element is quite recessed but there is no built-in lenshood. A hood
from one of the WA lenses (I forget which one) will work but is not
included. Be aware that the chrome version is quite a bit heavier than the
black one.
