Subject: [Leica] Yankee bashing??? And an attempt to change the subject...

You have a much richer family history than I. My uncle was a wedding
photographer who sold bibles on the side, and my father had a Retina.
That was about it photography-wise. Dad hated to spend money on
anything, so a Leica was way, way out of the question.

Ahhhhh....... you know a little about the "Sugar". Yes, I do but I was
named for my father who was named for an uncle and while people assume
that "Walker" was a family surname at some point in our ancestory, it
has always been a given name. IOW, there are no Walker families in our
past.

If you ever visit the Smithsonian and have a chance to browse their
archives, ask to see the photographs of Walker R. Smith. My father has
as many as120 photographs in their files, many taken with a Model A and
Model IIIa Leica. I'm in several of them myself.
