It's using different means - all be it chemical - to capture the
light/image. I can certainly understand that some people are committed
to film for emotional, and artistic reasons. But if you really and truly
believe that digital is akin to APS and 110, our discussing this is a
waste of both our times.

How is a move from glass plates to film a change of medium? Surely just 
a different base on which to coat the same medium.
