I'm pretty sure that you and Ted and Tina and everyone else takes a lot of gear on assignment, but I'm pretty sure that by now you have eliminated superfluous equipment that will just weigh you down. I don't think you toss in a 1200mm just for the heck of it, unless you really think you're going to need it. Here in the movie biz we have a tendency to pack everything, including the kitchen sink, but unless you have a grip truck to haul it, you're just carrying dead weight. I went to Germany with waaaay to much gear, mostly do to inexperience. I had two M bodies with 21/35/50/90/135 and a R6.2 with a 50, plus film, two meters, small tripod and who knows what else. Total overkill for the job, paid or not. Next time I'll know better.
