The whole release is translated acceptably on the web site. Regarding 
Coenen's background, it is described on the German site as:

- background as communications engineer, also studied physics, plus MBA
- worked as consultant at McKinsey (this rings alarm bells!)
- before joining Leica in 2000 he was head of the photography and cinema 
lens business at Zeiss

Actually, he seems like someone with a good mix of technology and 
business background.
