Subject: [Leica] New Zeiss Ikon: they know their target...

Sales and Marketing 101.

Two tier marketing with two levels of product.

One "entry level" system and the appropriate price point and one
"professional" or advanced system.
Same mount allows mix and match and need and "financial ability" permit.

Same as every other manufacturer.

...AND with even the topline priced below the "elite" market leader (Leica)
but with "equal" quality.

Seems like these marketing boys and girls were hired from the top of the
class.

Didn't anyone else buy cheap Yashica bodies to put their expensive Contax
lenses on?
I know many who did.
