To kind of echo what Douglas has said, be thankful you didn't encounter 
a cow with PMS. ;^)  Contrary to what many think, a hog (pig, swine) can 
be an exceedingly dangerous animal but if my experience in Suffolk 
County is any indicator, the hog farmers in England keep their animals 
pretty well penned.
