I am not sure about that.  I bought a 50mm way back,
and a few months ago, tried to sell it for $950
and didn't get any offer.  I am so glad now that I
didn't.  It was in absolutely mint, unused condition.
When I was looking for a 35mm, I got several offers
slightly more than the original price (10% to 20%)
