Aw, heck, youse guys. Don't be going all sentimental
over this quaint gear. Tell the poor fellow to hock
the stuff off to the tightest customer, then laugh
himself all the way to the bank.

The world is awash with Leica cameras.Consider:
there's over 200K M3 cameras out there, plus more than
80K M2s, then another 50K+ of the M4 ilk. Heck, Leica
has just made its 3,000,000th camera ever . So
there're enough Leicas out there to equip whole towns
-- nay, cities -- full of future film-loving
darkroom-dunking shooters.

All they will need is clean water to develop the stuff
and a measurable light source to bring it to life.

So the Leica you don't really need today will be found
tomorrow, ever more easily. What you will actually do
with it remains to be seen.
