Yesterday I drove a new 545i (6 speed) as part of BMW's Drive for the Cure cancer fundraiser. The ride starter poorly as we couldn't figure out how to turn off the radio. Then, a warning buzzer went off every time I exceed 40 mph. Compared to my 325i, the clutch was very heavy, the shifter had long throws and the driveline had a huge amount of slop. Add the ugly appearance and this thing is a dog. I, too, hope that Leica doesn't follow this course! Rob McClure Not only are they UGLY they have that incrediblly bad iDrive system > built in.
