It's supposed to have interchangeable backs. That way you don't have to
chuck the whole body every time you want to upgrade the CCD. Kind of
like that 'silly' digital R back, except Nikon will probably have
designed it so the CCD size is not limited by the size of the gate. I
think it's a good idea. Users get a cheaper way to upgrade their cameras
and Nikon doesn't have to design a new camera from scratch every two
years. AND you can still take REAL pictures with it if you use the film
back! ;-)
