As soon as we arrived at the airport, and before checking in, we went to a rent-a-locker and dumped 90% of the stuff out of the camera bag into the locker, then checked in. Nice light bag. "Not much in there is there?" said the agent. "nope, it's so I can bring home lots of souvenirs!" ;-) says I. :-) After we were squared away we returned to the locker, loaded all the extra camera bodies, lenses and whatever else we could squeeze into the bag. Off to gate and board plane. I'm of course not advocating that these days as who knows what surveillance cameras are watching everything from lockers to the can! However, it worked in the golden olden days. ;-) ted
