Ted uses the Noctilux at 1.0.  He has said many times that there is no 
point in carrying the Noctilux if you are not going to use it wide 
open.  Other 50mm lenses are much better stopped down when you have enough 
light to do that.  Only the Noctilux can photograph at 1.0 - its a 
specialty lens to be used under special conditions.
