Welcome to the users of Retrospect. I have been using it for years.
While I have not yet had a disk die, many's the time that I either
accidentally erased a file that I needed, or so messed it up editing
it that I had to recover an earlier version. Retrospect has, and very
rapidly indeed, saved my ass on those occasions.

I forgot to mention that when my computer died I didn't lose any data
because I had backed it all up with Retrospect. Thanks, Brian, for
recommending it. I'd be a lot more upset about the loss if I had to
re-install of my programs and re-scan all of those photos!

Another example of the value of the LUG!
