a good argument can be made that the best, most versatile body for R glass
is a
Canon EOS body, via a R glass to EOS adapter. Other adapters similarly
allow the
use of Nikon, Olympus OM, Contax/Yashica, Pentax 42, and Deckel lenses on
the same
EOS body. and of course you also have the option of AF via Canon lenses --
something that won't happen with any R body to date.

of course an R lens on the EOS body is slower in operation, being all
manual, and
you will have to meter at shooting aperture. yet it allows you to shoot
with a
body which starting on the drawing board this century, not to mention
digital EOS
SLR bodies selling for next to nothing compared to the upcoming Leica R9 with
digital Leica back.

it all comes down what serves your uses best, overall.

Stephen
