She's amazing to watch, because she really gets into a zone and tunes out everything around her. I was trying to capture that with my main shot...I'm not sure it entirely worked, so you'll have to take my word for it. ;) Main: http://www.duke.edu/~ajs2/PAW/2004_24/index.html Then, after securing her cooperation, I put my 21 (c/v) on and lay down on the ground for her to hoop over my head. Those hoops are heavy, being made out of PVC pipe, but she's good. I selected a slow shutter speed (maybe 1/15 or even 1/8) in an attempt to capture the motion. Unfortunately, it was too slow and the hoop was invisible in most of the shots. My alternate shows a little bit of hoop, but I don't think you can tell what's going on without the explanation. Next time I'll try a faster shutter speed and try to place her in a better background. Alternate: http://www.duke.edu/~ajs2/PAW/2004_24/pages/alt1.html Thanks for looking...comments always appreciated, Aaron _______________________________________________ Hi Aaron, I have enjoyed these shots as posted but it is really interesting the way you have chronicled your pursuit of the 'better shot'. I admire the way you have gained the cooperation of the hooper, your change of lens, laying on your back for the unusual angle and the trying of slow shutter speeds. Good as they have been, you seem to be chasing down something extra special. No pressure :-) Looking forward to seeing the results of the next session.
