No, it is supposed to be a strictly digital M. It is a few years off,
and that makes it pretty hard to anticipate. Epson is coming out (any
day I guess) with a digital M-body based on the Bessa R2 body. Very,
very limited production model.

Please excuse some ignorance, but I've not been around for awhile.

I note in the last Leica World news, the digital back coming for the 
Rs. There was also some slight mention of a digital M. Will the latter 
be a conversion for existing Ms or a new M with the ability to be 
either film and digital?
