Yes, Buzz...But I can't recall anything about it...and then there was a
60's album by, I believe some major group, that featured a yellow banana
on a white background...Trivia and or rock buffs? It may have been one
of the "super groups..."

I once photographed an experimental banana plantation in Tanzania where
bananas were grown which were very surprising, indeed.  Bananas that
tasted like strawberry, watermelon and orange, to name a few...very
weird.

Wasn't the e-lec-tric-al banana celebrated in song by Donovan?  I can
hear the tune but can't remember the name.  In case you are blessed with
a slippery memory, for a brief time circa 1967-68, post-adolescents
everywhere were drying the fibers from inside banana skins in the absurd
hope that smoking them would have a hallucinogenic effect.

When you think about it, the banana is also the only
truly honest fruit, maybe even the only utterly
reliable food of any kind.

You know exactly what you are getting before you even
touch the thing. The skin colour tells everything: is
your banana only just sweet, quite sweet or
sticky-sweet? Firm or soft? You always can tell. 

A banana never surprises or disappointments, while
apples, oranges, peaches, pears, pie and people
deceive us (indeed often seem determined to do so)
with chronic frequency.

Plus there's that removable leatherette cladding with
integral hand grip, the ergonomic shape and oh that
clever mount design (the bunches). 

Pick a joined pair or a six-pack. The bananas don't
complain.

Any creature, male or female, always appears to be
having a good time when eating a banana. Kids and
chimps especially. 

The banana is Truth Made Flesh. Veracity Incarnate. 

Now for ten points, which 60s LSD-inspired smash hit
claimed that "electrical banana is gonna be a sudden
craze"?
