Jeffery Smith New Orleans, LA -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+jls=runbox.com@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+jls=runbox.com@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of lowi emanuel Sent: Friday, May 21, 2004 5:33 PM To: lug@leica-users.org Subject: [Leica] was: M5 meter arm Having used the CL, CLE and Hexar RF extensively (which are all affordable Ms with .58 - .6x viewfinders and fast-acting metering systems), I'd say the Hexar RF is the sturdiest and most useful of the lot. I've found the CL rather flimsy-feeling ( and that meter arm is more fragile than the M5 arm) and I hate the loading system. The CLE is better in most ways (despite the lack of metered-manual mode), but there are repair issues today. If you deal with the flim register discrepancy with a little modification, the Hexar RF is a super hard-working camera. I haven't used it yet (just handled it), but the Bessa R2 seems like a great budget choice, if you don't need AE.
