People figure it makes no difference who they vote for, so a random selection, i.e., "eenie-meenie-miney-mo" seems as good a way of selecting the talking heads as any! Lesser of two evils? What we got was the evil of two lessers! Just want to point out that statistically speaking a 50/50 split can only be achieved via random processes. Interpreted as meaning that our current electoral process (for whatever reason) causes people to vote in a random fashion. If this becomes a trend, as opposed to a one time event, we then will have real evidence of a system wide failure. In the meantime I'll be out photographing the NYC subway system. Paul-- What's even more wonderful is knowing that Canadians know more about our political system than we do! That's probably why we continue to elect idiots to the presidency, and to practically every other office in the land. No one here has a clue as to what is really going on! Actually that's quite interesting. According to your government 50,456,002 people voted for Bush and 50,999,897 voted for Gore. Isn't democracy wonderful! P.
