Not so, Doug - Thus far, considering the possibilities, the photo
manipulation scandals have been few and far between. We certainly don't
know how long this 'period of grace' will last, but....

Their value to the people they are supposed to be influencing, yes. The
value to the distributors, or the powers behind them, no. Since the
advent of digital processing and modification who can tell what is true
or not, people edited out of, or into, images, shifted to backgrounds
where they've never been - the possibilities are endless.
