OUR name is pronounced just the way it is spelled, kind of. Natchitoches (Nack-a-tosh, Nack-a-tish, Nack-a-tush) is the oldest settlement in the Louisiana Purchase. -- Nacogdoches, is merely the oldest town in Texas. -- Regards, Sonny _http://www.sonc.com_ (http://www.sonc.com/) -- In a message dated 5/10/2004 10:26:45 AM Central Standard Time, gwpics@aol.com writes: One of the reasons I would suggest that no one travels there is that no one can say it.
