Hi Ernie,
I'm with you on this subject of holding the camera out at arms length as I
see so many amateur digi-users doing, I can't imagine taking a sharp
un-shook picture in this fashion.

I'm using the Digi 2 at the moment and 99.99999% of the time in all "A" mode
for every setting. It's, look through viewfinder, compose, shoot! And
99.999999% of the time I keep getting blown away with the quality of prints
off an Epson 2200 at 13X19 print size.

I know some folks will cringe at me admitting I'm shooting everything on
auto, but what the heck the system works so well I can't imagine screwing
around doing everything manual when the camera produces what it does with
less effort. Not to mention with such a good quality images.

If people would get around the "negativisms" of the Digilux 2, however I do
agree it costs way too much! And just put the camera to their eye and shoot
pictures as they might with an M type camera, sans automation, they'd soon
learn it's not a bad machine at all.

But then this is me and the world doesn't always think like I do. ;-)
