Stephen Gandy is selling replacement E39 snap-on caps at Cameraquest.org.

I'd love to find a cheaper source of E39 caps myself too.  I'm always 
paranoid about losing mine.

Or are you thinking of snap-on caps for the 12585 (metal round) hood 
or 12383 plastic square hood? I'd also love caps for those too.
