Your "problem" would seem to be not with Starbucks, but with the taste of all of those coffee consumers who flocked to it, rather than patronizing "every local shop that served a good cup of coffee." But if Starbucks didn't win the competitive coffee wars by its quality, how did it win? Certainly not by virtue of low prices! :) Art Peterson Alexandria, Virginia -----Original Message----- From: Feli di Giorgio [mailto:feli@creocollective.com] Sent: Monday, April 19, 2004 13:51 To: Leica Users Group Subject: RE: [Leica] Re: starbucks There is nothing wrong with the staff at my local Starbucks. They are friendly and provide good service. My problem with Starbucks is that their coffee is lousy and they have run every local shop that served a good cup out of business. I also don't like the cookie cutter design of the shops. It doesn't matter what city you are in, they all pretty much look the same. It's like living in an international version of that movie 'Groundhog Day".
