Naw, not a hope cause a drip is a drop without lagtime. ;-) And at this
moment as easy as it might be to use the word "drip " in an
un-complimentary fashion, far be it for me to suffer the wrath of the
leader of ass burning comments. :-) Naw I wouldn't do that. ;-) We're
friends, right? ;-)

Question?
Was there room to have got on the other side of the watering can so the
drip would be backlit? I'm sure if you'd moved or it were possible to do
that, move to the other side, the shot and drip would've been far more
effective than what we see.

This has nothing to do with the timing of shutter release, nor lagtime,
as obvious you captured the moment on the mark sans lag.  As you hit the
drip right on the peak. But I bet from the other side with the water
drop backlit, it would've popped off the screen like a pearl of light.
No?
