If messages are sent to you, and your ISP rejects them, and they are returned to the sender, that is a bounced message. Each time a message to you is bounced by your ISP, it adds 0.5 points to the "bad subscriber" score for you. If that "bad subscriber" score reaches a limit, then you are unsubscribed, since most mail to you is being rejected by your ISP. I have raised the threshhold from 5 to 7 and put in a 7-day limit, so that any message bounced by your ISP more than 7 days ago will be forgiven. This problem is caused entirely by your ISP, and cannot be fixed by you, me, B.D., or even Ted Grant. > Brian, am I being particularly thick ? when I logged into the Lug (my account) there was a text at the top of the page saying > something similar to "you have been bounced 2.0 out of a maximum of 5.0" shortly afterwards I received a message that my subscription > was terminated due to excessive bouncing.
