As shots in a shop/studio window to let people know what you can make 
out of them, yes indeed,
as Sonny said "they have to please the subject", however,as a 
"prospective sales portfolio" less so.
As to gender segregation (as suggested) I think somebody else missed the 
point completely.
As a stand-alone image the lady in the red kimono(?) under the 
rice-paper lamp is the best.
The "cow-girl-bikini-saddle-whip" is a bit too 1970s for me, very dated.
