Heck, that is why I finally >bought my M. >.. Ha ha, OK, this I agree with you, there are definitely lots of (what did Micahel Reichmann call the digital-equivalence, Pixel Peepers) in Leica Land. I guess when you own $$$ equipments, some people think they are entitled to complain about everything and anything. Having said that, remember there are sane people in this group. Ted (my hero) Grant looks like he used a Leica 0 when it first came out and kept trading up until now he has 3 M7s hanging around his neck. He is in fact apparently moving to digital because it suits him. He takes great photos regardless of equipments. No, I take it back, he chooses equipments base on what they are do for him and use them to their ultimate advantages. Warts be damned. Dittos with Sonny, Graham, B.D. etc. So, I'd say, complainers be damned. Full speed ahead! Lets judge this camera on its own merits. I would love a full frame digital M too, but first of all, we don't know if Leica will raise to the occasion. I hope they do. Meanwhile, I can really use a digital camera for certain purposes, and the Epson RD-1 would be just perfect. FWIW, I bought my first Leica in March 2003, and it's an M7. I love it. I bought an M6TTL late year as a back up and did couple shoots with both cameras on my neck. I just sold the M6TTL only because I could use the money more than I can use the camera :-( but now I am saving up for sure. // richard (This email is for mailing lists.
