The rest of us were away over-night (typical). When we got home, he was worried we be mad at him (!) since he hadn't pulled out all the plugs. When I saw all the black soot that had shot out of the electrical sockets ... the melted cables ... I almost had a heart attack thinking he would even _consider_ going near those plugs. Anyway, my scanner got zapped. I had to scan some shots from Zimbabwe on the Epson 2450 (not as good as the 3200 or the 4870). These are them: http://www.leica-gallery.net/dlridings/folder-3355.html http://www.leica-gallery.net/dlridings/folder-3363.html I use the 2450 all the time for medium format. I get decent prints, but I've never gone very big (letter size/A4). Ok, these were only for the web, but they would have held up for smaller sized prints.
