A collegue of mine lives inthe UK on a small aerodrome and knows most of the
antique crowd.
We also have a pilot with a lot of spitfire hours.
I definately recommend you to take a P51 ride in America.
Because
The availability of like new aeroplanes.
Specialised companies that offer some level of safety.
And airspace rules that still allow high speed low level flight in some
spectacular terrain.(in not over!)

Basically in Europe with the exception of France you,d find yourself over
featureless terrain or medium altitude with no sensation of speed
whatsoever.
