Subject: [Leica] A funny thing happened on the way to ... (wedding)

I'm late with PAW's this week. I'm on the road, away from my (equipped)
home and for some reason, I don't use digital for PAW:s. Just works out
that way.

Sometimes people ask: "What camera and lens do you pick up if you are just
going to go out?"

I was kicking around in Oslo this morning, fairly early, ... got tired of
looking at hotel walls. So I picked up my bag and wandered around minding
my business and sticking my nose into anyone else's if the opportunity
arose.

Took some worthless shots of cigarette butts in the snow, dirty snow,
sidewalks that peeved me off because they were still treacherously covered
with snow and ice (after 3 months).

Saw an acquaintance come hustling down the hill. He was in a hurry, you
could tell. We waved at each other, smiled and spoke a couple of words in
passing (literally).

Then he called me back: "Are you looking for something to shoot? Come with
me!"

He was late for a wedding. Two lesbian friends were getting married
(entering a partnership to be technical) down at the courthouse. They
couldn't afford a photographer and didn't have one.

So there I was, 5 minutes to prepare for a wedding. What did I happen to
have in my bag when I just went out to kill some time?

Two M bodies (2 and 4), 35, 50, 90. ISO 400 film and Neopan 1600
One Rolleicord V, ISO 400 film.

The day started lousy, but that made up for it.

So I imagine you can guess what the PAW will be for this week once I get
home (in about a week) and get it prepared.

Best, Daniel
