Here is a very interesting on-line site with some answers for you: http://www.labiker.org/xb70.html >> Greg, Thanks for finding this site. My memory was getting hazy after 40 years. I never realized that the plane in the USAF museum was the first XB-70, cleaned up and repainted. I always thought that it was it was the third, assembled from spare parts. I worked on the electronics and cockpit instrumentation. What did I know? Now if any Canadians want to find out a lot about the Avro CF-105, I know a lot about that one. My early work experience in the aerospace industry was full of canceled projects. The XB-70, the CF-105, the Dynasoar - the list goes on and on. It was very frustrating. Sort of like the life of a Leica digital camera designer. Larry Z - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
