Thanks for finding this site. My memory was getting hazy after 40 years. I 
never realized that the plane in the USAF museum was the first XB-70, cleaned up 
and repainted. I always thought that it was it was the third, assembled from 
spare parts. I worked on the electronics and cockpit instrumentation. What did 
I know? Now if any Canadians want to find out a lot about the Avro CF-105, I 
know a lot about that one. 

My early work experience in the aerospace industry was full of canceled 
projects. The XB-70, the CF-105, the Dynasoar - the list goes on and on. It was 
very frustrating. Sort of like the life of a Leica digital camera designer.
