Don't feel bad, Sam. When I saw that article yesterday, my first thought
was, "OK, who's been playing fast and loose with Photoshop *this* time?
But suppose. . .

Let's hope this is not some circularly-referenced Internet rumor. If the
camera is real, it's good news indeed.

Sure many of us would prefer full-frame. But a 1.5 or 1.6x sensor would
be OK. A 24mm becomes a 36 or 38, close to a 35mm equivalent. A 35
becomes a 50, and I like 50mm lenses. A 50 becomes a 75 or 80. A 15mm
Heliar becomes a 24mm. The increased DOF would compensate for some of the
Bessa's short RF base.

A body that would allow me to use my Leica glass and shoot digitally with
the controls I'm used to would be a godsend. I wouldn't necessarily need
to buy a monster DSLR and monstrous zoom lenses. I could still use my
Leica glass for film. And unlike the proposed digital M, I probably can
afford it new.

Here's hoping. We'll know more in a month or so.
