I'd certainly be happy with a good 5 mgp sensor - I'd like larger, but 5
can do just fine.

But what kind of digital output would you be getting?  If the Digital M
had come out at the same time as the Nikon D1, the output would have
been 2 or 3 mp at best.  Would you be happy with that now, not even 5
years later (the D1 was announced in June 1999)?
