Hi David,

I have one. I can't compare but I think it gives good quality for the 
money. The software that comes with it works well. I also tried vuescan, 
but IMHO the minolta software is much more user friendly and also 
faster. I mostly scan colour slides but have also scanned negatives, B&W 
and B&W slides. For me it is a very satisfactory scanner.
At my website you can see some pictures. All are scanned with the Minolta.
