At b&h's price of $212 for a 50 roll pack of tri-x, you can buy 330 rolls of tri-x for the price of a DSLR, or there-abouts. Which is less than a roll a day for a year. On my 2001 tax return, I itimized 3,213 for "film and processing" figuring $12 for a roll of film and processing. I did pay $150 for a 100 gigabyte disk drive though.
