I stand corrected, Doug. Mt. Whitney is 14494. Colorado comes in second,
with Mt. Elbert, at 14433. I meant that we had more higher mountains. We
have 54 over 14,000 feet. California has "only" 15. (See me trying to save
face? !!!) ;-)

I seem to recall that Mt. Whitney in CA is the tallest in the lower 48.
Y'all in the rockies sure have lots of the big ones, more than we on the
left coast do.
