the 10meg R back will produce images that match film according to Leica 
- - and I believe them. Prints from their P&S are pretty impressive when 
we saw them at the LUG visit to Leica UK. Most users of a camera hand 
held produce results comparable to 3megapixel cameras on 35mm film. Any 
benefit of a 40meg sensor (even if it is big enough for the photosites 
to be acceptable) will be academic for most people, their technique 
already does not need that much resolution because it can't exploit it
