Today I was told it was Capa with the "f 8 and be there"!
Not for speed graphics as i thought but 35mm photography!?!

And yes if your portfolio looks like drivel "get closer."

Or set up your frame lines so you think you are shooting with the 35 but
you are really shooting with the 50. "Mark Rabiner"

I was told "Book Photographers" shoot real loose. So that their editors
can crop to their gleeful content. We saw Brian Bowers slides in St.
Louis on the LHSA thing in October and it looked like he was framing
with the 50 and shooting with the 35.
All I know is Jonathan Eastlands shots are composed perfectly even when
he's hanging on to the side of an airplanes as it dive bombs sail boats!
The ones we saw at least! Although he puts his books together himself perhaps.
