I know that Ted Grant is one of the people that feel they can just 
fade into the background when documenting a situation.

This was a purely unintentional reflexive gesture that he just makes 
once in a while OR:

The sushi disagreed with him on a very basic level, and he felt he 
had to take it out on me.


Taken last Saturday here in Vancouver. David Young on the left, and 
Greg Lorenzo and Tom Abrahamsson on the other side of Ted. My wife, 
Tanya, Rose Young and Irene Grant were also present on the other side 
of the table but chose not to acknowledge Ted's comment.

Taken at ISO800 at f/1.4 with a completely incorrect type of camera. 
Maybe that's what he meant (but no, he's done that before when I took 
a picture of him with a Leica!)
