I don't know about "allot" of shadow noise, but I will say that at ISO
800 and above it's excessive as compared to Canon and Nikon pro DSLRs
(below 800 it is NOT a problem at all)...HOWEVER...and this is a BIG
however...In the past several days I have discovered a couple of
commercially available PS plug-ins that reduce the shadow noise to the
point where it is no more a problem than film grain at the upper
ISOs...so the real question is not 'what about the shadow noise?' -but
what about the final image....

Ok- this  isn't a troll I am really interested in the answer. BD how do 
you like the new Olympus digital. I like the design, the price, but have

heard about a lot of shadow noise.
