G'day,
For me the MC is likely to be inaccurate, and so I would go for a good MR. I 
use one on my M3 (with black tape beneath it to protect the upper surface of 
the camera) and it works extremely well, giving approximately a 90mm fov. I 
have not used the "V", but I presume it will not hook onto the speed dial 
the way the dedicated Leica MR does
